The aim of this new International Trade
Show, as announced previously, is to bring together in the same venue all the undertakings, industrial enterprises and service companies which are engaged in all the areas of micro-nanotechnology such as:
aerospace industry – automation & robotics –automobile equipment - biotechnology – micro-electronics – medical, orthopaedic, dental equipment – metrological instrumentation & metrology – lasers and photonics – telecommunications etc….
All these different areas of application are highly specialised but often related and complementary to one another. The manufacturing companies very often work in several of these areas of application, so it makes sense to bring them all together under one roof in order to line up – for potential customers/professional visitors - an extensive range of promising suppliers.
At the same time the exhibitors get the opportunity to show off their specificities to various categories of visitors (and hence to potential customers) whom they certainly would not have had the luck of meeting or attracting in the ordinary course of their business activities.
The EPMT Show will take place at the same time as the EPHJ Show (Professional Watchmaking & Jewellery Environment - Environnement Professionnel Horlogerie-Joaillerie), an increasingly popular and highly appreciated event, whose 2007 edition is already fully booked in spite of the increase in exhibition floor space of more than 25% compared with the last year’s Show..
Furthermore, the Swiss Federal University of Technology (EPFL - Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) and the Swiss Foundation for the Research in Microtechnology (FSRM - Fédération Suisse pour la Recherche en Microtechnique) have planned to organise – on the occasion of the EPMT Show - a series of lectures this year on the subject of robotics and automation.
On the same occasion, the France-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CFSCI) will also organise a one-day business forum on June 7th (scheduled and personalised encounters) for Swiss professionals placing orders (no charge for participation) and French sub-contractors (EPMT/EPHJ exhibitors will be charged highly preferential rates). The sectors targeted specifically are: machine tools/special machines, electric and electronic appliances, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, biotechnology/nanotechnology, semi-conductors/ telecommunications, aeronautical industry…(information : CFSCI – tel : 41(0)22 849 05 70 ).
There is no doubt whatsoever that the simultaneous staging of these two Trade Shows, these veritable exchange and business platforms which the EPHJ and the EPMT are, will generate interesting synergies for exhibitors and visitors alike.
