This
family owned and managed company has a
long history of supplying rubies to some
of the most prestigious watch
manufacturers. It has
acquired through the years the necessary
know how to machine with extreme
precision very small parts and produce
micro-miniature components as well as
assemblies in a variety of ultra hard
materials such as rubies, sapphires,
tungsten carbide, ceramics, and more.
Smaller and
smaller holes is our motto.
A 5 microns hole through a 0.5mm
(.002”) outside diameter ruby, is no
longer an objective it is our daily
reality.
Our ultra hard
components are used in a wide variety of
applications, sometimes quite unusual:
-
A
ruby with a 10 microns orifice will
be mounted on the oxygen generating
system of the spacecraft taking the
first men to Mars.
-
Oil
is calibrated trough a sapphire
orifice mounted in high precision
valves used to control flaps on many
airplanes and in Formula One
hydraulic gear boxes.
-
Baby
dippers are cut with water jets, a
technology using miniature holes
through sapphire mounted nozzles to
created ultra high water pressure
It
is fair to say that a wide array of
industrial sectors can benefit
from the use of such components,
providing unrivalled wear, heat and
corrosion resistance.
We can also
mount our machined parts in numerous
materials such as stainless steel;
copper, bronze, aluminum, and
others. Close product design cooperation
with our clients, allows us to offer the
best results in terms of quality,
performance and price.
